I have always been curious about people and what makes them unique. The living person behind the persona, who they are and where they came from.
Through this curiosity came sincere empathy and in turn caused me to be able to relate truthfully and feel what others are feeling. It is this insatiable curiosity that compelled me to want to act at a young age. That first experience on stage was like visiting an old friend. Each role gives way to knowing myself better as I find common ground where I can pull from my own experiences and be sincerely interested in the other characters in the story whether it be on stage or on screen. I feel blessed to have wonderful teachers along the way: Warren Craft who taught me how to shrink it down in front of a camera and that "less is more", and Kelley Hinman who introduced me to the Meisner method and taught me to "make my scene partner brilliant.”, and Burgess Jenkins who taught me, “After thorough preparation, take care of the first moment and rest of the scene will take care of itself.” I thank God for all these people and experiences and pray for many more opportunities to be curious, bring many more characters to life, and bless others in the process.
